What have you learned throughout your experience of working with RoofingSource?
There are too many things I've learned to list them all out but I think the main takeaways would be better communication skills and mental math skills. I was never on the front end of speaking with customers in any other job I've had before and in this position, my communication skills have really flourished because I am on the phone with customers frequently. Before I started this position my mental math was not great and I used a calculator for the simplest of addition and subtraction problems. Now that I use simple math day in and day out, I’ve learned how to do most of it in my head which is a lot quicker than pulling out the calculator each time.

When he wasn’t dreaming about playing for the Dallas Cowboys, Mike worked hard for his dad’s company (residential general contractor) as a laborer. Gabriel La Santa (also known by our team as Gabi) grew up in the town of Barranquitas, PR which is located in the central region of the island. For most of his life, he was always looking for new opportunities of employment. In 2009, he saw a newspaper where an organization from the United States recruited laborers in the PR area with no experience. It immediately sparked his interest, since he had no prior experience or knew of anyone in the roofing industry-so he decided to take a leap. Ever since then he has gained so much experience and expertise in the roofing trade and has not looked back since. His previous organization saw his potential and noted to him that he can reach new heights in a career in roofing. As he later sought new opportunities he eventually landed on RoofingSource.
Gabi noted that RoofingSource is like a "family" for him. From his colleagues to leadership, Gabi states he will always give 100% of himself for the family of RoofingSource and is always in gratitude and appreciation to the leadership, especially to Scott Swarm for provide him trust and confidence in his work. Gabi mentioned with the job opportunity at RoofingSource he has been able to provide stability and a better standard of living for his family and he looks forward to continuing his tenure as a Foreman at RoofingSource.
