1. Introduction
At RoofingSource, we value your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal and business information we collect. This Data Policy outlines our practices regarding the collection, use, disclosure, and protection of data. We aim to provide transparency about our processes and help you understand how your information is managed.
2. Information We Collect
A. Business-to-Business (B2B) Data
For our B2B interactions, we may collect:
- Personal Names
- Email Addresses
- Physical Addresses (typically business mailing addresses)
B. Website Data Collection
When you visit our website, we and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies to understand how the site is used and to recognize you when you return. This may include:
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages visited and time spent on them
- Referral source
- Time and date of visit
We use HubSpot, provided by HubSpot, Inc., for website analytics, form handling, live chat and customer relationship management. HubSpot’s code runs on every page of this website and sets cookies in your browser, including a visitor identification cookie and session and usage cookies. HubSpot publishes a current list of the cookies it sets and how long each one lasts.
If you submit a form on this website, we may associate that submission with the pages you viewed beforehand, using the visitor identification cookie described above. We do this so that we can respond with an understanding of what you were looking for. If you would rather we did not, clear or block cookies for this site before submitting a form.
This website is served through Cloudflare, Inc., which processes your IP address and request details in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. In our current configuration, Cloudflare does not set cookies on our pages. Photographs and graphics are delivered from a content delivery network operated by Sanity.io; loading an image discloses your IP address and browser details to that network.
We use Sentry, provided by Functional Software, Inc., to record errors and performance problems on this website so that we can fix them. Its code runs on every page and reports the page you were on, your browser and operating system, and the technical detail of anything that fails. Sentry sets no cookies, and we have configured it not to collect your IP address, your cookies, the contents of anything you submit, or the parameters in the page address.
Sentry also records a sample of visits, and visits in which an error occurs, as a session replay: a reconstruction of the pages you saw and where you clicked, so that we can see what led to a fault. Text, form fields and images are masked inside your browser before the recording is sent, so what you type is not captured. A replay is identified by a value held in your browser’s temporary storage for the tab you are using, and that value is discarded when you close the tab.
We do not use Google Analytics. Earlier versions of this policy referred to it. No Google analytics or advertising code runs on this website.
C. Cookies and Similar Technologies
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. The cookies on this website are set by HubSpot, as described above. They tell us which pages are viewed, how visitors reach us, and whether someone contacting us has visited before. Sentry, also described above, sets no cookies; it uses your browser’s temporary storage for the tab you are using, which is cleared when that tab is closed.
We do not use cookies for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not currently display a cookie consent banner. You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Doing so will not stop you using this website; our forms simply will not be able to connect your inquiry to your earlier visits.
D. Information About Other People
Our referral form asks for the name, email address and telephone number of someone you would like to refer to us. Please make sure you have that person’s permission before you submit their details. We use them only to contact that person about the referral, and they may ask us to correct or delete their information at any time using the contact details in section 8.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for several key purposes, including but not limited to:
- Providing Services: Communicating with you about our products and services, processing transactions, and managing business relationships.
- Improving Our Offerings: Analyzing and enhancing our website and services to improve your overall experience.
